
Lin Hanqiang was born in 1972. He graduated from Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts at the age of 20 in 1992 and was admitted to the Sculpture Department of the Academy without examination. He graduated in 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts degree and in the same year was admitted to a graduate program in the Department of Sculpture of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, receiving his Master’s in Fine Arts in 1999.
He started to teach in the Sculpture Department of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts in 1999.
In 2008, he was admitted to the Central Academy of Fine Arts for a doctoral degree in the Department of Art History. Teacher of Sculpture Department of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts. Sculptor, member of the Chinese Sculpture Society, member of the Guangdong Branch of the Chinese Artists Association, member of the Sculpture Professional Committee of the China Arts and Crafts Association, awarded by the Ministry of Construction the "Chinese Urban Sculpture Creation and Design Qualification Certificate" (No. 0898).

His sculpture "The South Bank of the Green River" was part of the "China Dynamics" sculpture exhibition in Beijing.
2008
The sculpture "Up and Down Statue" was selected to be in the "Second Humanistic Platform-Portrait Exhibition of Young Chinese Sculptors”
He was admitted to the Central Academy of Fine Arts for a doctoral degree in art history, while working and studying full time.

The sculpture "Chi" was selected into the "2008 Olympic Landscape Sculpture Project Competition and International Tour Exhibition".
2005
The sculpture "Mother and Child Love-Commemorating the 60th Anniversary of Taiwan's Recovery" was selected as the "Peace and Prosperity Sculpture Tour", which was sponsored by the China Artists Association to commemorate the world's anti-fascist victory and the 60th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese Anti-Japanese War (in Changchun, Zhengzhou, Nanjing, Shanghai, Chongqing, Touring exhibitions in Xiamen, Beijing and other cities).
2004
The sculpture "Liang Qichao" was selected for the Guangdong Provincial Exhibition of the 10th National Art Exhibition.
The stone sculpture "Induction" participated in the 3rd Hui'an International Stone Carving Festival, and was selected by the Hui'an Municipal Government.
2003
The sculpture "Yes and Sun Le" was selected to be in the Beijing International Art Biennale-Chinese Sculpture Exhibition, and his work was picked by the Karamay Municipal Government in Xinjiang, China.
He created and completed the bronze statue of patriotic overseas Chinese Mr. Ma Guanshi for the Kaiping City Gymnasium in Guangdong Province.
2002
The sculpture "Young Man" was featured in the national art exhibition commemorating the 60th anniversary of the publication of Comrade Mao Zedong's "Speech at the Yan'an Art Symposium".
Line was invited to participate in the Beijing International Urban Sculpture Art Exhibition Academic Symposium. The paper "Square Space and Sculpture" was included in the exhibition's essay collection: "Communication, Fusion and Transcendence-2002 China Beijing International Urban Sculpture Art Exhibition Academic Essays".
He participated in the China (Dongyang) International Woodcarving Art Grand Prix. The sculpture "Mother and Child in a Wind" was selected by the Dongyang Municipal Government of Zhejiang Province, China.
2001
He participated in the outdoor exhibition of the 2nd West Lake International Sculpture Invitational Exhibition. The sculpture "Song of Ancient Times" was collected by the Hangzhou Municipal Government.
Created and completed a bronze statue of Liang Qichao for the Liang Qichao Former Residence Memorial Hall in Xinhui City, Guangdong.
Created and completed the white marble seated "Song Weijing" for the elderly home in Guangzhou.
Created and completed the bronze bust of "Edison" for the Dongguan Polytechnic School in Guangdong.
2000
Created and completed the bronze statue of owner Xie Weili for the "Li Yuan" in Kaiping City, Guangdong.
The thesis "On the Three Elements of Thinking in Celebrity Portrait Creation" was published in the first issue of 2000 in the Journal of Fine Arts
1999
The sculpture "Portrait of Huang Shaoqiang" won the Excellence Award of the Ninth National Art Exhibition, the Bronze Award of the Guangdong Provincial Exhibition, and was included in the "Sculpture Collection of the Ninth National Art Exhibition", "Chinese Portrait Sculpture" and "Chinese Cities in the 20th Century" "Sculpture" and other three academic monographs.
The sculpture "The Story of Chinese Characters-No.1" was selected for the 9th National Art Exhibition of China-Guangdong Exhibition.
The sculpture "The Story of Chinese Characters-No.1" was published in the third and fourth issues of "Gallery" in 1999.
The paper "The Role of Sculpture in the Square" was published in the 1999 supplement of "Sculpture" magazine.
The sculpture "One of the Meditation Series" won the third prize of the postgraduate group work in the 1999 "Meiyuan Cup" competition of "Meiyuan" magazine, and was published in "Meiyuan" in the sixth issue of 1999.
